I’ve been putting this post off for awhile. I love the images, I think they are crazy awesome, and I love Amanda to death, I think she styled this shoot perfectly, but there’s also an empty longing for the horse life I gave up for my career. Just 5 months ago I was a horse owner, but there was less and less time for my dream horse Diamond. She had so much potential and I didn’t have her in training and she wasn’t showing. So the guilt was thick and I eventually knew I had to do what was best for her. The wound is still fresh, but I have to suck it up and know in my heart some day I will be a horse girl like Amanda again.
We shot these pictures during the golden hour when the light was wrapping perfectly. Our biggest challenge was keeping the horses from eating grass, and beating the quickly setting sun.
But we did. And we captured some stunning images of Amanda with her horses, and her love for her horses.
