Remember the Bat Mitzvah pics I mentioned? Well before the big event took place Melanie came in and had her pictures taken for her red carpet themed party. She has one of the most upbeat personalities and a smile that will light up a room! The pictures tell it all! Enjoy!
I so enjoyed working with Melanie and her parents, Mary and George. I had a blast watching them have fun. I have so much more to show and share when I post the pics from the event. I just got done processing them today. Can’t wait to share!

Maternity Pictures~ Kansas City Photographer
Are you ready? In not, you better sit down because here are some of the most gorgeous maternity shots ever taken! Really truly in the whole world. I love my future mammas and Mecia is no exception. She is so obviously stunning on the outside, but equally beautiful on the inside. Here are a few of my favorites. I had to pick! PS you have to read the whole thing because there’s a surprise at the end!
Mecia is one of the lucky few that just grows a belly. However, when she told me how much she gained I was shocked. She looks great! PS I think her shoulder tat is rad. You heard me right RAD!
This is her handsome hubby Ashley. Do you think they’re going to have a cute baby? HECK YAH! Just look at those big eyes. I will say we had a few giggles when Ashley was making fun of his pastey skin tone. I told him everyone looks pastey next to Mecia. By the way I had to look the word pastey up for spelling. Turns out it’s just in the urban dictionary. Hmm I thought it was a lagitamate word. Just in case you’re wondering here’s the definition.
1.Someone thats so white they blind you.
2.Someone thats so white you can see them in the dark because they glow.
3. Someone who is whiter than Micheal jackson
There were some other pretty funny definitions. If you get the chance check it out. Will make you giggle!

Mecia and Ashley I had so much fun taking your pictures. You are a solid couple ready for parenthood, well, ready as you’ll ever be. I’ve heard it’s hard. haha! You’re going to be amazing.
Mecia and Ashley had their baby boy on Monday! He’s a healthy 7ibs 6oz and 21 inches long!!!!! Mom and baby are doing well. I will be taking pics of little Jonah in just a few weeks. I can’t wait!

This is Stephanie and Tyson! It really doesn’t get much better! The following are pics of Stephanie and “her boys”. Let me tell you about their special love.
Below is Nickolas and he really does have those great big blue eyes!
Tyson is an amazing big brother he was so helpful during our shoot. Nickolas was starting to break teeth during our shoot and want’s feeling top notch, but Tyson was right there to help out any way he could. He was one of the most helpful kids I’ve ever had the honor of working with. So pleasant and willing to contribute. Stephanie is one lucky momma to have these beautiful boys.
It was Nickolas’s first birthday so we of course had the traditional birthday picture celebration. Don’t let this picture decieve you, he was not into it at all. Some kids just aren’t. In fact he wasn’t into the cake at all. That’s when I called on Jon to help. He had just gotten home from work. He walked into the studio and Nickolas was captivated. All kids are when they see Jon. He’s tall and funny, and has an energy that kids can’t resist. He looked at Jon for a good minute and this was his expresstion the whole time. Like hey big guy are you going to play with me? Pure perfection for a photograph. Thanks hubby for being my guarenteed baby smile machine. LOVE YOU!

Bat Mitzvah pictures ~ Kansas City Photographer
So I haven’t even begun to download the hundreds of pictures I took at the Bat Mitzvah on Saturday. I did however have the red carpet pictures downloaded. Let me explain…
This Bat Mitzvah was for Melanie, the adorable brunette third from the right. She wanted her party to be movie star quality complete with a red carpet entrance, paparazzi, and Taylor Lautner. I’m pretty sure the following picture isn’t that far from reality for poor Taylor.
Melanie was so much fun to work with and her party was happening to say the least.
These pictures were taken by my best friend, husband, and business partner Jon. While I was off capturing more serious shots he was snapping away. He was amazing and surprisingly good at getting the girls to act normal, despite the fact that the real stud was behind the camera.
I love this shot. The girl on the right has got true sass! I’m lovin’ it!

You might recognize the guy on the right. That’s Ian and I shot his Bar Mitzvah in the fall. He’s already grown up soo much. In fact they all have. It was odd. The big dance of the night was “snowball” which is a slow dance when every few minutes the DJ says snowball and they have to swap partners. I think it was a nice way to relieve some of the awkward pressure of being 13 and “liking” people.
Ok if this picture isn’t all 13 year old boy I don’t know what is! Just look closely. Enough said.
