Beyond the shot, is a warmth

Baby Jackson

Love, love, love this collection of photos.  This is baby Jackson!

Jackson’s parents Jessica and Rob were so happy to have their beautiful baby boys pics taken they were natural and ineractive.  It was such a joy to photograph them.

I often look at other artists work for ideas and the babies are sleeping, I just don’t have that experience in my studio.  Most of the time my clients are bright eyed and bushy tailed just like the above photo.  Jackson was alert and looking right at the camera which made for some great shots.  The below shot just shows how tiny his little hands are compared to his dad’s.

Again with the big blue eyes!  He had so much depth to his eyes lots of color it was absolutely beautiful.

While taking this shot we were all laughing, he looks like a little fish or seal or something.  Still makes me giggle, but I like the shot.

Jessica and Rob thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious moments in your family history.  I look forward to seeing Jackson again soon!

Baby William

This is little William.  He is one adorable little baby boy.  William had his pictures taken on the coldest day in the history of KC.  I’m pretty sure the high was 5 degrees.  Brrrrr!  William was a trooper and we managed to get some adorable pics of his cute face despite the cold.

I couldn’t resist posting just  a few other pics of little William.

Jennifer thanks for letting me take William’s newborn pictures.  He is awesome, and I hope he is enjoying his new life in Chicago.  I hope I can continue to document his life when he comes to visit family.

Chloe’s First Birthday

Meet Chloe!  She was the winner of my first baby photo contest on facebook.  There were over 50 entries and 500 votes.  Chloe was the adorable winner.

Attached is the picture that she won with.  http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=38674872&o=all&op=1&view=all&subj=88773417960&aid=-1&id=34304858

She won a free sitting and 11×14 wall art print!

Chloe has the biggest personality!  She was all about taking pictures and for a one year old that’s not usually the case.  She was all smiles and good times.  I think the following pictures show Chloe at her best.

This is her favorite little piano, and stuffed bunny.  I’m not a big prop person but when the objects are meaningful I think it makes for a great picture.  Don’t ever hesitate to bring your childs favorite blanket, stuffed animal, or toy.  Those objects that your child endears so mucy will soon be gone and all you’ll have to remember is a picture.

Have you noticed the adorable tutu and onsy outfit yet.  Chloe’s mom Kelly makes and sells these when she’s not being an amazing teacher.  She can make the bows too.  She does wonderful work and for a lot more resonable price than the boutiques that made these so popular.  Take a second to become a fan of her page on facebook.  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Blue-Springs-MO/Lisa-Jos-and-Kellys-Bows/105150419051?ref=sgm Lisa and Kelly do great work!

She has the most amazing blue eyes!  I just love photographing kids with bright eyes.

Chloe is a girl after my own heart, she loves cake!  She was all about the cake, some kids dive in, some kids don’t want to have anything to do with the cake, but Chloe was all about eating it all.  She was adorable.  There were about 20 pictures I wanted to post of her cake eating, but this was Kelly’s favorite and I have to admit it is pretty adorable.  I especially like that you can see her two little teeth.  Perfect!

Chloe your 1 year pictures are perfect just like you!  Thank you for letting me take them.  I can’t wait to watch you grow up, and be there to capture it with my camera.

New and Improved Blog!

This is my first post on my brand new blog!  I have to admit I don’t really like learning yet another program, but it’s like a new phone after awhile it feels like home.  The following pictures are of two of the most beautiful babies ever!  Below is Easton, and I know this is a severe crop, but I love it because it’s all about the eyes.  Please enjoy viewing the photos and feel free to leave a comment, I would love your feedback!

Just playing with his belly button!

He’s like seriously guys, enough is enough!

This is a picture of Cole.  Cole was such a great 5 year old.  He was willing to do everything I asked and then some.  I’m not really sure what he’s doing here, but I’m really sure it’s pretty cute.  If you look closely at Cole’s eyes he’s got two different colors in there.  I might have to post some more of him later so you can get a close up.  What a great kid!

And then there is Andrea with her boys.  I love this pic, Cole is so perfect, and Easton is so whatever I’m a baby and cute what else do you want.

Ok this picture is my favorite.  Andrea and I put the boys in the chair and told them to look cute when I went to get my camera I realized Cole had his finger over his nose.  When we asked what’s up, he told us “he’s stinky”  with a big grin.  LOVE IT!!!  Of course we told him it was fine and got the shot before changing Easton.  The others were more ideal, but I like this one more because it shows just how tolerant Easton is.

And then there is some momma love.  Andrea is such a loving mommy.  I can tell her boys are her life, and she loves everything about them, even whey they’re stinky because my goodness most of the time they look like this. Who can resist this face?

Andrea thank you so much for picking me to capture your boys and all their faces.  I had so much fun and I look forward many more shoots.
